HIV Care Pathways project

Independent Voices for Engagement has been commissioned by NHS Nottingham City and Nottingham City Council to undertake a review of the care pathways available  to people living with HIV in Nottingham city.

We have been selected because we are independent and neutral from all HIV services.

The aim of the project is to understand how agencies work together, particularly between health, social care and housing. The HIV Care Pathway project will involve all HIV services in Nottingham City and we aim to include as many patients served by Nottingham City services as possible (patients may be based out of the city, but they access city services).

In the next few weeks, all HIV services, including GPs, in Nottingham will receive a link to an online survey. This will be the first stage of the process and this will be  followed by a series of conversations between IVE and some services.

The data collected from both stages will be analysed and added to information we gather from service users themselves. At the end of the process we will have a clear
picture of the care options available to people with HIV in the city, and we will be able to highlight any gaps in provision. The report itself will be given to HIV health and social care commissioners for consideration.

If you would to take part in the project, or would just like more information about what we’re doing, please contact us on 07935 353 059 or email ivecic@gmail.com
